Day 5 - Next stop...Waikiki Beach
This morning, the famil groups who spent the first half of their week on Hawaii Island, Maui and Kaua’i flew back into Honolulu Airport courtesy of Hawaiian Airlines.
A transfer was provided to Waikiki, where this year’s Experience Aloha workshop will take place. The Maui group checked into the Moana Surfrider, a Westin Resort located on Waikiki beach followed by a canoe ride. The water looked so inviting that a few of the group were keen on jumping in, however our instructor made sure we remained focused on paddling that canoe down Waikiki beach.
After all that hard work, it was time to return to the hotel to freshen up for our formal dinner this evening at Halekulani’s Orchids Restaurant. Prior to dinner the group inspected Parc Waikiki and its sister property Halekulani from the Hotels and Resorts of Halekulani Group, both located along Waikiki beach.
Parc Waikiki, a contemporary style hotel features urban interiors of rich ebony woods and bold works of art. The hotel includes 297 rooms, an outdoor rooftop pool and Nobu Waikiki, a full service sushi bar located in the lobby of the hotel.
Halekulani Hotel is a luxury hotel located on the Waikiki beachfront. It is one of the premier Honolulu resorts and hotels in Waikiki featuring 456 rooms, a business center, swimming pool, fitness room, SpaHalekulani and shops.
More than 90% of the guestrooms face the Pacific Ocean offering sweeping views of the beach and the famed Diamond Head.
