Day 7 - A fabulous last day!

Sadly today was the last day of the famil and participants were given the day at leisure.

Most of group took this opportunity to go shopping at Waikele Premium Outlets which offers up to 30%-50% off brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, Osch Kosch and more. The outlets are located about half an hour’s drive from Waikiki. Discover Hidden Hawaii Tours offers a shuttle return transfer from the hotel to the outlets for $18.

Ala Moana Shopping Center was the next stop after Waikele. It is located just outside Waikiki opposite the Ala Moana Beach Park and is home to over 250 stores. The pink shopping trolley will take you to Ala Moana for a low cost of $2.

Others travelled to downtown Honolulu visiting Aloha Market Place and Chinatown and those who weren’t into shopping chose to take surfing lessons on Waikiki Beach or just relax sipping cocktails.

Everyone returned to their hotels early this afternoon to freshen up and prepare for tonight’s farewell dinner at the Moana Surfrider. Prior to dinner, the Starwood team hosted the group for cocktails at The Royal Hawaiian hotel in front of a spectacular sunset.

The group then took a short walk to the Moana Surfrider where a farewell buffet dinner under the stars was held. Participants reminisced about their visits to the islands which was followed by Island Idol, a presentation from each group about their adventures and experiences. The group who travelled to Hawaii’s Big Island was awarded the best island group performance. They acted out their journey and finished it off with a group song.

The prize for the best dressed participant went to Eva Racadio from Talpacific Holidays in Brisbane.

Following the presentations, famil participants danced the night away. The party then continued at Duke’s, located next door at the Outrigger Hotel Waikiki.
